Baked Vegetables in creamy sauce!

Hello dear readers,

Here is the recipe of my all time favorite dish. With its creamy texture and pleasant taste, the dish is able to fetch you compliments of both kids and grown ups. It tastes best accompanied with Chilli Garlic naan.

 

Ingredients

For The White Sauce

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ tsp white pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional)
  • A pinch of citric acid
  • salt to taste

Other Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped french beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped carrots
  • 1/2 cup green peas
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 1/2 cup chopped cauliflower
  • 1/4 cup chopped capsicum (optional)
  • grated cheese

Method
For the white sauce

  1. Mix all ingredients for the sauce.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and add the mixture.
  3. Cook with continuous stirring till a viscous white sauce is arrived at.

How to proceed

  1. Boil the vegetables with salt and sugar.
  2. Put the vegetables in a baking dish, pour the white sauce over it
  3. Put the grated cheese and bake at 150°c (300°f) for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Serve hot.
